Women's Basketball Continues Impressive Play

The Lady Royals of Ecclesia College took to the hardwood Friday afternoon to play familiar foe Randall University. After tying the second best season start in the program's tenure on Tuesday, the 2020-21 Royals looked to place their names in the EC history books, but we will get to that later.

The game started out sluggish for the Royals and allowed the Saints of RU to take an early lead. However a strong 10 point second quarter performance from SO Gabby Adams pushed the game to an even score at 36-36 entering the halftime intermission. The first half saw two different styles of play as the Saints forced everything inside and the Royals dominated on the perimeter.

The second half started strong for the Royals and support from the Royal Faithful grew even louder. The support was clearly a boost for the Royals as they won the third quarter 19-9. Freshman guard Alysia Pickett had her finger prints all of the second half with a great offensive performance of scoring and passing. The Royals continued to stay in control and ended the game winning 74-62.

This is the first time in program history that Ecclesia College has defeated Randall University, and pushing their overall record to 4-1 now moves them to tied for the best 5 game start for WBB since the 2015-16 season. A win in their next contest will move them to the best start ever for Ecclesia College women's basketball.

Notable Performances
