The Royals baseball team traveled to Lonoke, AR to face off against Crowley's Ridge College of Paragould, AR. The nuetral location, with CRC acting as home, was used due to field conditions caused by incliment weather.

The first day of the series was tough as the Pioneers won both games 10-9 and 4-3. Both of these games needed extra innings to decide a victor, and both games were decided with walk-offs.

Day two for the Royals saw a much better result as Matthew Threatt and Jesse Alexander (pictured) pitched complete games respectively on their way to 4-3 and 16-1 victories. "They stifled an offense that was clicking on all cylinders" assistant coach JR Miller told us. Along with the strong pitching the Royals also saw Clayton Phillips hit his first homerun. Joining him in the HR category was also Jalen Reece and Zack Espinosa.

Next for the Royals is another road trip, as they travel to College of the Ozarks for a four-game weekend series on March 19-20.
